Erythritol low calorie sweetener

Erythritol is a sugar alcohol naturally found in certain fruits and fermented foods. It has recently gained popularity as a low-calorie sugar substitute due to its sweetness and negligible caloric content. Erythritol is produced by fermenting glucose with yeast or fungi, and it has been approved for use as a food additive by numerous regulatory agencies worldwide.


    Erythritol does not contain reductive aldehyde group in its molecular structure, and its chemical properties are similar to other polyols. It is stable to heat and acid (applicable to PH2-12).
